Georg Ruckenbauer serves as the Head of M&A at Erste Group Bank AG since July 2016, previously holding the position of Strategy Manager within the same organization. Ruckenbauer’s expertise includes analyzing the impact of cryptocurrencies on banking, developing ESG strategies, and investigating the long-term economic effects of Covid-19. Prior roles include consulting for a Private Bank, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Risk Officer for Centrex Europe Energy & Gas AG, and various positions at UniCredit Bank Austria AG and CA IB Corporate Finance. Ruckenbauer's career commenced at Price Waterhouse AG as an Audit Assistant. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from The London School of Economics and a degree in Business Administration from WU Vienna University of Economics and Business.
