Iratxe Ugarriza Ojanguren possesses extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, currently serving as Responsable de proyectos at Ercros since June 2016, where responsibilities include the design, definition, optimization, and implementation of improvements in synthesis and extraction processes for active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). Prior to Ercros, Iratxe worked as Jefe de equipo at Villapharma Research from February 2015 to June 2016, overseeing a team while managing synthesis, purification, and client presentations, and held the position of Técnico de laboratorio focused on synthesizing active macrocyclic compound libraries. Educational qualifications include a Doctorate in Organic Chemistry from Universidad del País Vasco, an EMBA from IQS Barcelona, a Master's in Synthetic and Industrial Chemistry, and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, all from prestigious institutions.
