Orlando Ramírez Barrón is a seasoned engineering professional with expertise in transmission planning and electric demand analysis. Currently serving as a Planning Engineer III at ERCOT since February 2023, Orlando focuses on both near-term and long-term transmission assessments to mitigate grid congestion and enhance renewable energy integration. Prior experience includes work as an Operative Supervisor at Centro Nacional de Control de Energía, where responsibilities encompassed transmission congestion analysis and electric demand forecasting for the Mexican grid. Earlier roles featured an engineering position at Ingenio el Molino S.A. de C.V., involving interconnection assessments and stability testing of energy systems. Orlando holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Centro de Investigación y de Estudios Avanzados del IPN and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Tecnológico Nacional de México.
