Alvin Yap has extensive work experience in the financial industry, with a focus on corporate finance, tax accounting, and mergers and acquisitions. Alvin started their career as a Tax Accountant at Arthur Andersen & Co., where they worked from 1998 to 2000. Alvin then moved on to ERNST&YOUNG, Hong Kong, where they served as a Senior Tax Accountant from 2001 to 2003, and later transitioned to the role of M&A from 2003 to 2005. Alvin Yap joined Credit Suisse in 2005, working in Corporate Finance until 2007. Alvin then joined CICC as an Executive Director from 2007 to 2016. Afterward, they became the Managing Director - Institutional Investors at CapBridge from 2016 to 2020. Currently, Alvin Yap holds the role of Managing Director at Equities First Holdings since 2020.
Alvin Yap holds a Master's degree in Finance from the University of Cambridge, where they were also a Cambridge Commonwealth Trust Scholar. Alvin has also earned a 1st Class Honours in Accounting and Financial Management from the University of Essex, where they were awarded the British Council Scholarship.
