Bill Martinich has extensive work experience in the mining industry. Bill started their career as an Engineer and Mine and Maintenance Superintendent at Placer Dome in 1994 and worked there until 2007. Bill then joined Barrick Gold Corporation as a Superintendent for Open Pit Mine Operations, where they were responsible for coordinating all mine operations functions. After leaving Barrick Gold Corporation in 2010, Bill Martinich joined Taseko Mines Ltd. as the Manager of Mine Operations, overseeing the coordination of all mine operations and engineering functions. In 2011, they joined New Gold, Western Mesquite Mines, Inc. as a Mine Manager, where their responsibilities included coordinating all mine operations, maintenance, and engineering functions. Bill then moved to Golden Vertex Corp in 2017 and served as a Mine Manager before being promoted to General Manager in 2018. In 2019, Bill Martinich joined Equinox Gold Corp. as a Mine Manager, and later they were promoted to the role of General Manager and Senior Vice President of US Operations.
Bill Martinich attended Butte High School from 1984 to 1986. After completing high school, they went on to study at Montana Technological University from 1986 to 1994, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining.
