Steven Kleppa is a seasoned geoscientist with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as Principal Geophysicist at Equinor since November 2022, Steven previously held significant roles including Project Manager at AGTunnel AS and Consultant Geoscientist at Geomada Energy Partners. Notably, during a tenure at Tullow Oil from June 2012 to July 2020, Steven acted as Technical Lead for the Guyana Basin Exploration Team and contributed to major oil discoveries. Earlier experiences include senior positions at Statoil and GTS-Geotech Ltd, where Steven gained comprehensive expertise in exploration and data support, particularly in the Atlantic Margin basins. Steven holds a Master of Science in Petroleum Geoscience and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Imperial College London.
