Sara Rekstad is a seasoned geoscientist with extensive experience in geology and innovative project leadership. Currently serving as Principal Geologist at Equinor since July 2023, Rekstad previously held the role of Prosjektleder Innovasjon and Ingeniør (BIM) at Anko AS from August 2020 to June 2023, where responsibilities included 3D modeling and BIM processes. Prior experience includes a position as Geoscientist at Searcher Geoservices from January 2015 to August 2020 and as a Geologist at Weatherford Petroleum Consultants AS from January 2012 to December 2014, focusing on 3D geomodelling. Rekstad began a career in geology as a Field Assistant at Store Norske Spitsbergen Kulkompani AS during a summer job in 2009. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Geology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), obtained from 2006 to 2011.
