Nizar Damree currently serves as the Head of Business Development and Commercial for Equinor's Renewables division in Asia Pacific, overseeing operations across South Korea, Singapore, Australia, Vietnam, the UK, and Norway since January 2019. Prior to this role, Nizar held several key positions at Statoil from February 2011 to December 2018, including Principal of Corporate Strategy and Chief of Staff to the International Exploration & Production Executive Vice President, with responsibilities in oil and gas asset origination and M&A transactions. Nizar began their career at EDF as a Business Developer for Natural Gas Infrastructures from December 2008 to January 2011. Nizar has advanced educational qualifications with an MSc in Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College London, an MSc in Petroleum Economics and Management from IFP School, and an engineering degree in Energy from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Nancy.
