Dr. Jonathan Sims FCIPS has extensive work experience in procurement and supply chain management. Dr. Jonathan is currently working as the Chief Procurement Officer at EQUANS UK & Ireland since 2019. In addition, they hold various visiting fellow positions at renowned institutions such as emlyon business school, Nottingham Business School, and Durham University Business School, starting in 2022. Previously, Dr. Jonathan Sims has served as the Chief Procurement Officer at ENGIE UK & Ireland and Group Head of Supply Chain at NG Bailey. Dr. Jonathan has also held senior leadership roles at Morgan Sindall, Kier Group, and We Are Shepherd, where they focused on strategic procurement, supply chain transformation, and driving continuous improvement. Dr. Jonathan Sims FCIPS has a diverse educational background. Dr. Jonathan holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree in Organizational Culture & Strategy from Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University, which they completed from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Organizational Culture & Strategy from the same institution from 2009 to 2010. In addition, they earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Management & Strategic Human Resources from Nottingham Business School from 2003 to 2005. Dr. Sims also holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Planning, Property & Development (RICS Accredited) from Nottingham Trent University, which they completed from 2000 to 2003. Dr. Jonathan has also acquired specific certifications, such as being an Accredited BS11000 (Collaborative Working Relationships) Company Facilitator from PERA Consulting in 2012. Recently, they have been a Visiting Fellow at Durham University Business School's Department of Management & Marketing, focusing on Management, Leadership, Procurement & Supply Chain Management. Additionally, Dr. Sims pursued further education in Steering Complex Projects at the University of Cambridge in 2021.
