Byron W. Radcliffe

Board Chairman at Equal Access

Byron W. Radcliffe is a senior international development executive with over 35 years of experience in the public and private international development sectors, most recently as CEO and President of Equal Access International (2018-2021). Over his career, Byron’s work has focused on building bridges between diverse stakeholders in the industry and driving innovative growth. Byron’s expertise as an executive leader includes leading senior management, corporate administration, strategic business planning, finance, and compliance departments. He has been actively involved in project implementation around the world and has overseen regional offices in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Byron has experience leading civil society, education, health, energy, transportation, and defense programs. Byron is a passionate mentor and spokesperson for international development as demonstrated through his active involvement in several associations. Byron’s 16-year tenure on the Board of the Society for International Development, United States Chapter culminated in a four-year term as Chairman, and he now serves as Ex-Officio Board Member. In addition to the Equal Access International Board, Byron serves on the Board of Advisors of the Kulin Institute (United Kingdon) and Network AREWA24, Ltd (Nigeria). Byron has also served on the Humentum Government Advisory Council and the Boards of Directors of both the Mines Advisory Group (MAG) America and DevWorks, among others. Byron is a frequent expert lecturer and panelist speaking at U.S. and global forums about matters related to various areas of international development. Byron holds a master’s degree in international affairs from Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from Central Missouri State University. Byron resides in Charlottesville, Virginia.
