Michael Hanna has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Michael started their career as a Roughneck at GlobalSantaFe Corporation in November 2004 and worked there until February 2006.

Michael then joined MCS Free Zone in March 2006 as a Senior Drilling Data Management Engineer, where they were responsible for research, design, installation, troubleshooting, and support of drilling applications. Michael also reported drilling performance, performed root cause analysis, and supported data acquisition and end-of-well reporting. Michael worked at MCS Free Zone until September 2011.

In April 2012, Michael joined BP as a Wells Performance Analyst in the Global Wells Organization. Michael developed Excel automated tools, provided support to drilling and workover teams by responding to data requests and providing analysis. Michael also served as a point of contact for Landmark applications. Michael worked at BP until May 2017.

In June 2017, they joined EQT Corporation as a Senior Engineering Technician and worked there until November 2018. Michael then moved on to the role of Engineer II in Data Governance and Advanced Analytics until November 2019. Following that, they worked as a Data Engineer II in Business Intelligence from November 2019 to August 2020. Michael was promoted to the role of Data Scientist III in Business Intelligence and held that position until August 2021. Currently, they are working as a Senior Data Scientist in Business Intelligence at EQT Corporation. In this role, they utilize R and SQL scripts for ETL processes, develops insights using various tools like Tibco Spotfire, Microsoft Power BI, and R Shiny apps, and reports drilling performance and KPIs to management.

Overall, Michael has proven expertise in data management, analytics, and reporting within the oil and gas industry, with a focus on drilling operations.

Michael Hanna obtained a B.Sc in Petroleum Engineering from Cairo University, where they studied from 1998 to 2003. Michael also has additional certifications from various institutions including DataCamp, RStudio PBC, SQLBI, Mango Solutions, and Randy Smith Training Solutions.
