M. Chase Smith is a Digital National Reporter at The Epoch Times since December 2022, focusing on national news in Tennessee and the U.S. Prior experience includes freelance writing and working as an Emergency Roadside Assistance Representative at HGS. Smith spent nearly five years as a News Reporter at The Bledsonian-Banner, producing 8-10 articles weekly on various community topics, and has held multiple journalism roles, including two internships at Valley Publishing Co. Inc. Smith was also the founder and president of Be The Match on Campus at George Washington University, supporting marrow donation efforts. Smith graduated from The George Washington University in 2017 with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs, and has additional education from Chattanooga State Community College and George Mason University.
