Marcus Cheek is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in biochemistry and synthetic biology. Currently serving as the Director of Synthetic and Structural Biochemistry at EpiCypher, Inc. since June 2015, Marcus has played a key role in developing strategies for producing highly pure proteins with site-specific post-translational modifications. Previous positions include Lead Scientist and Research Scientist II at EpiCypher, where innovative methodologies for protein purification and structural analysis were established. Marcus has also held senior roles at ABC Laboratories, Carnegie Mellon University, Duke University, and PPD, contributing valuable insights in nucleotide synthesis and bioanalytical chemistry. Marcus holds a PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry from Duke University and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
