Somasundaram Shanmugam has a strong work experience in the technology industry. Somasundaram started their career at iNautix Technologies in 2006 as a Team Lead and worked there until 2012. Somasundaram then joined Sapient Global Markets as a Senior Associate Technology from 2012 to 2014. Following that, they worked at Tesco HSC as a Principle Software Engineer from 2014 to 2017. Currently, they are working at Epicor as a Senior Software Development Engineer and has recently been promoted to the role of Principal Product Developer.

Somasundaram Shanmugam holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Software Technology from Bharathidasan University, which they obtained from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Computer Application in Computer Science from the University of Madras from 1999 to 2002. Additionally, they earned a Diploma in Computer Technology from the Mohamed Institute of Education and Technology from 1995 to 1998. Somasundaram also holds several certifications, including Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft and Cloud Foundations from Epicor Software, which they obtained in 2020.
