Vassilis Golfinopoulos has extensive experience in medical oncology and clinical research, currently serving as Headquarters Director and Operations Director at the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) since September 2012, overseeing various divisions and ensuring the implementation of organizational strategies. Previous roles at EORTC include Clinical Research Physician, Medical Director, and Medical Vice Director, where comprehensive responsibilities encompassed clinical trial protocol development and medical monitoring. Vassilis also held positions as a Consultant Medical Oncologist at the Ioannina University Hospital and a Locum Consultant Medical Oncologist at the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Centre. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Medical Oncology from the University of Ioannina and a Medical Degree from the University of Patra, further complemented by research experience at notable institutions such as the Jules-Bordet Institute.
