Jeff Stienstra is a web developer at Envoy B2B. Prior to their current position, they worked as a UI/graphic designer and web developer at Grand Valley Automation, Inc. from May 2017 to May 2021.

At Grand Valley Automation, Jeff was the only designer on staff and was responsible for overhauling the UI and graphics of the company's building automation websites. Jeff researched and self-taught the necessary languages and software needed to succeed, including TGML, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, SQL, and some scripting (PHP). Jeff also became proficient in using Adobe Creative Suite (mainly Illustrator, XD, Photoshop & Premiere Pro), AutoCAD, REVIT, Sketchup, and Blender 3D Software.

Jeff developed custom, responsive, mobile-friendly Building Automation sites with JavaScript, HTML and CSS libraries based on client sales contracts, feature requests, and feedback. Jeff also created custom interactive components using JavaScript and presented wireframes and prototypes for interactive touch-screen kiosks. In addition, they contributed to GVA’s Remote Monitoring System - a mobile-first web app that monitors live cloud data from MS Azure and saves to a SQL database for remote troubleshooting by service technicians.

Thanks to Jeff's efforts, the company's sales increased by improving the user-friendliness and perceived value of their sites with custom design elements. Jeff also delivered direct customer support and training on how to access and use their automation sites. Jeff also designed and implemented extensive documentation, templates, and systems for use by GVA.

Jeff Stienstra began their educational career by obtaining a certificate in full stack software development from Actualize Coding Bootcamp. Jeff then went on to study game and interactive media design at Ferris State University. After completing their degree at Ferris State University, they pursued a certificate in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration from Environmental Technical Institute.
