D. Curt Alvis, IAAI-CFI, is a highly experienced fire and explosion consultant currently serving as Principal Fire & Explosion Consultant at Envista Forensics since May 2023. Previously, D. Curt Alvis worked as Senior Investigator III at J.S. Held LLC from May 2019 to May 2023 and as Senior Fire Investigator at EFI Global from April 2016 to April 2019. D. Curt Alvis held roles as Fire Investigator at Unified Investigations & Sciences and Charnock Investigative Services, as well as Senior Special Investigator - Fire Investigations at Nationwide Insurance. Earlier in the career, D. Curt Alvis served as Chief Fire Marshal in Stafford County, Virginia, and began as a Firefighter with the Fairfax County Fire & Rescue Department.
