Simon Koopmann is the Co-Founder and CEO of envelio since April 2017. Prior to that, they worked at RWTH Aachen University as a Team Leader for Distributed Energy Systems from June 2014 to February 2017, and as a Research Associate from March 2012 to May 2014. Simon also had a temporary role as a Project Engineer at Siemens from November 2011 to January 2012, and an internship at Siemens Management Consulting from October 2010 to January 2011. Simon also interned at RWE AG from April 2010 to August 2010.
Simon Koopmann's education history includes obtaining a Dr.-Ing. degree in Electrical Power Engineering from RWTH Aachen University from 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed a Diplom-Wirtschaftsingenieur (Dipl.-Wirt.-Ing.) degree in Electrical Power Engineering and Management from the same university between 2006 and 2011. In 2009, Simon participated in a scholarship program called UNITECH International, which involved academic exchange, an internship abroad, and soft skill seminars. Simon also briefly studied Industrial Engineering, Strategic Management, and Innovation Management at Chalmers University of Technology in 2009.
