Rick Akie is a seasoned business professional with extensive experience in leadership and mentorship roles. Currently serving as a Mentor at Entrepreneurship for All (EforAll) since May 2020, Rick aids under-represented individuals in starting their businesses. Previous leadership positions include a significant tenure as Senior Vice President and GM of North America at Red Hat from June 2009 to June 2018, and a member of the Board of Directors at Kaloom from October 2018 to February 2021. Additional roles included Vice President and General Manager for various organizations such as BEA Systems, BlueNote Networks, Systinet, and TIBCO Software Inc. Rick holds an MBA in Information Management and Marketing from Babson College and a B.A. in Finance from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst.
