Zac Swarthout has over twenty years of experience in the hospitality industry. Zac began their career in 1999 as an Assistant Resort Manager at Madden's on Gull Lake. In 2007, they became the General Manager of The Lodge at Giants Ridge, where they were responsible for overseeing the conversion process from traditional hotel to condo-hotel operations. Zac then returned to Madden's on Gull Lake in 2008, where they served as the Director of Revenue Management. In 2011, Zac became the Business Owner of Ernie's on Gull Lake, where they rebranded the restaurant operations, resulting in a 70% increase in Sales and a 110% increase in EBITDA. In 2015, they started their own business, Life Cycle. Most recently, Zac has been working as a Business Developer at Entrepreneur Fund since 2021.
Zac Swarthout began their educational journey at Brainerd High School, where they earned their high school diploma in 1999. Zac then attended Central Lakes College from 1999 to 2001, earning a degree in Business Management with a focus in Business/Commerce, General, and PSEO. In 2001, Zac transferred to Metro State University, where they earned a degree in Business Administration and Economics with a focus in Business/Managerial Economics in 2003.
