Hannah Carress has a diverse work experience. Hannah started their career in 2013 as a Waitress at The Pheasant at Keyston. In 2015, they gained work experience at Lloyds Pharmacies, where they developed customer service and communication skills. In 2016, they gained work experience at Congenica, where they wrote an article about precision medicine for the sales and marketing team. In 2018, they were a Global Opportunities Ambassador at the University of Sheffield, a Sports Secretary at the Biology Society, and a Summer Intern at Congenica. In 2019, they were a Front of House at Bill's Restaurants. In 2020, they were a Business Development Intern at Bluroc, an English Utterance Data Creator at Welocalize, and a Partnerships Team Manager and a Partnerships Associate at Enthuse.

Hannah Carress attended Wellingborough School from 1999 to 2015, where they completed their high school education. Hannah then attended The University of Sheffield from 2015 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Modern Language. During their time at The University of Sheffield, they also completed a year abroad at the University of Montpellier in 2017-2018, studying Biology.
