Bijou Mgbojikwe

Senior Counsel, Policy at Entertainment Software Association

Bijou Mgbojikwe has extensive experience in the legal field, specifically in intellectual property and trade policy. They most recently worked as a Senior Counsel for Policy at the Entertainment Software Association starting in August 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Vice President and Associate General Counsel for Intellectual Property at the National Association of Broadcasters from February 2020 to August 2022.

Before joining the National Association of Broadcasters, Mgbojikwe worked at the Entertainment Software Association as a Senior Counsel for Intellectual Property and Trade Policy from October 2015 to February 2020. They also gained valuable experience as an International Trade Specialist at the International Trade Administration - Office of Intellectual Property Rights from August 2013 to October 2015.

Additionally, Mgbojikwe worked at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office - Office of Policy and External Affairs where they held multiple roles. They served as an Intellectual Property Research Attorney from January 2012 to July 2013 and as a Confidential Assistant to the Chief Administrative Patent Judge from January 2012 to July 2012.

Bijou Mgbojikwe pursued their education in a strategic and determined manner. Bijou started their academic journey in 2000 at Wellesley College, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English and Medieval History in 2004. Motivated by their passion for law, they then attended The George Washington University Law School from 2004 to 2007, graduating with a Doctor of Law (JD) degree. Continuing their legal studies, Bijou returned to The George Washington University Law School from 2009 to 2011, undertaking a Master of Laws (LLM) degree with a focus on Intellectual Property Law.
