Andries Maritz

Andries Maritz has a diverse work experience. Starting in 2006 as a Junior Software Developer at Fourier Systems, they worked on creating a software interface using C#. Andries then moved to Stellenbosch University as an Engineering Assistant, where they merged spoken dialogue systems and conducted tests. At Gérac Electromagnétisme, Andries served as an Engineering Assistant, analyzing electromagnetic compatibility measurement configurations. At Altair, they held multiple roles, including Program Manager and Senior Application Specialist, working on software engineering, user interface design, and consultation on simulation projects. Andries also worked as a Product Owner and UX designer for FEKO after Altair acquired EMSS. At takealot.com, Andries served as a Product Owner for the product catalogue, integral to the eCommerce company's success. At Entersekt, they held the roles of Product Owner and Product Manager, focusing on market trends, strategic planning, and collaboration with product development teams. Most recently, they worked as a Technical Product Manager at Primer, where they executed the product roadmap and supported the business development team. Currently, Andries is a Principal Product Manager at Entersekt.

Andries Maritz has a strong education background in both business and engineering. Andries completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electrical, Electronics and Computer Engineering at Stellenbosch University from 2004 to 2007. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MScEng) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the same university from 2008 to 2009. Most recently, they earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Cape Town from 2015 to 2016. In addition to their formal education, Andries also holds a certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) from the Scrum Alliance, which they obtained in August 2019.
