Phil Eaton is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in software development and management. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at EDB since January 2024, Phil contributes to EDB Postgres Distributed, focusing on logical replication and high availability for Postgres. As a Co-Founder of TigerBeetle from September 2022 to September 2023, Phil led marketing, documentation, and integrations at a startup specializing in database solutions. Prior to that, Phil founded Multiprocess Labs, developing open-source data tools like DataStation and dsq. Phil held managerial roles at Oracle and Capsule8, overseeing teams in developing an advertising analytics API and a management application for Linux security, respectively. Phil's early career included significant contributions as a software developer at Linode and also involved freelance web development and systems administration. Phil studied at Haverford College from September 2013 to December 2014 and has a background from Hempfield Senior High School.
