Ng Ivan has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. In 2010, they started as a Bank Officer at Citi and continued in this role until 2011. In 2012, they worked as a Sales Assistant at FJ Benjamin, where they provided excellent customer service and handled a high volume of customers. In 2014, they interned as a Data Analyst at Integrated Decision Solution Consultancy, gaining valuable experience in data analysis. In 2015, they joined XL Catlin as an Operations Assistant for a short period of time. Later in the same year, they joined Enterprise Singapore as an Analyst, Research and Statistics. Ng held this role until April 2020, when they were promoted to Senior Data Analyst. In their senior role, they led projects related to international trade trends and insights, contributed to Singapore's GDP forecast, and played a key role in ensuring Singapore's food security during the COVID-19 pandemic. Ng also developed long-term strategic initiatives and formulated KPIs for the organization.

Ng Ivan attended Nanyang Technological University in Singapore from 2011 to 2014. Ng pursued a degree in Mathematical Science with a specialization in Business Analytics, focusing on the field of Mathematics during their time at the university.
