Weston Wood is a Polymer Scientist at ENTEK Membranes since March 2013, specializing in the development of ceramic and polymer coated separators to improve performance and safety in lithium-ion batteries. Prior to this role, Weston worked as a Research Engineer at Applied Sciences Laboratory from September 2012 to February 2013, where contributions included solving industrial challenges for notable companies such as Boeing and Triumph. Earlier experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at Washington State University from August 2008 to August 2012, focusing on UHMWPE composite preparation and tribological characterization, and as a Teaching Assistant for electronic materials. Weston holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University and a B.S. in Mathematics and Exercise Science from the University of Puget Sound.
