Mingzong LI has worked in the pharmaceutical industry since 2009. Mingzong began their career as a Postdoctoral Associate at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis in 2009 and then at Northeastern University in 2010. In 2015, they joined Agios Pharmaceuticals as a Scientist, then as a Senior Scientist and Associate Director/Principal Scientist. In 2021, they were appointed as the Director at Ensem Therapeutics and Associate Director/Principal Scientist at Servier Pharmaceuticals.

Mingzong Li received their B.S. in Applied Chemistry from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2004. Mingzong then went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the same university, which they completed in 2009.
