David Vierra began their career in 2021 as a Scientist at Enko. Prior to that, they were a Research Collaborator at the USDA from 2019-2021. From 2017-2019, they held a Research Fellowship at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. As part of this role, they were a recipient of a T32 grant to study the effects of telomere replication on aging. David tracked single molecules in live human cells using super high resolution microscopy, which involved epifluorescently tagging polymerases and their related processivity factors.
David Vierra received their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from the University of Rhode Island in 2010. David then continued their education at the University of Rhode Island and obtained their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology in 2017.
