Apostolos Malatras is a cybersecurity expert with extensive experience in information security, particularly within the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) since June 2016, where Apostolos serves as Team Leader for Knowledge and Information. Prior roles include Network and Information Security Expert and Officer, focusing on the security of IoT and emerging technologies. Previous positions include Scientific/Technical Officer at the European Commission's Joint Research Centre, postdoctoral researcher/lecturer at the University of Fribourg, senior research engineer at Thales Research and Technology, and research associate at TEI of Athens. Apostolos holds a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Surrey, an MSc in Information Systems from Athens University of Economics and Business, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Piraeus.
