Matt Somerford is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in sports journalism and media management. Currently serving as the Senior Communications Manager for Domestic Cricket at the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) since April 2019, Matt previously held roles as Press Office Manager at Asda and Communications & Content Manager at Golf WA, where efforts focused on engaging new audiences and strengthening commercial relationships. A former journalist and duty editor at PA Media for over a decade, Matt covered major sporting events globally and contributed to the editorial content for England’s national teams and county clubs. Additionally, Matt's career began at Media Tonic, where leadership spanned various sporting publications. Educational qualifications include a Graduate Diploma in Journalism from Curtin University and a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing from The University of Western Australia.
