Amélie Fortin has a long and varied work experience. In 2014, they began their career as an HR Intern at GENCO, A FedEx Company. Amélie was promoted and offered a job at the end of their placement for their great work and attitude. In 2015, they took a year off to travel the world, managing to fund their travels using different sets of skills. In 2016, they worked as a Technical Recruiter at Lambda Recruiting. In 2017, they joined FactSet as a Talent Acquisition, EMEA Human Resources, where they attended a large number of Careers Fairs, performed hundreds of live video and telephone interviews, and acted as the first point of contact to candidate queries/applications. From 2019 to 2022, they worked at SparkBeyond, where they held the roles of Director of People and Culture, Head of People and Culture EMEA & Americas, Senior Impact Strategy Associate - Sales Enablement EMEA & Americas, and People and Culture Generalist EMEA. Currently, they are the Director, People and Culture at Engitix Therapeutics.
Amélie Fortin obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration - BBA from the Université du Québec à Montréal in 2014, majoring in Business and Human Resources. In 2020, they obtained two certifications from LinkedIn: Artificial Intelligence Foundations: Machine Learning and Sales Enablement. In 2019, they obtained a Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging certification from LinkedIn. Additionally, they have attended two bootcamps from General Assembly: a Social Media bootcamp and a Programming for non-programmers bootcamp.
