Mason Hamar is a dedicated Chemical Engineering student at the University of Minnesota, with extensive experience in research and engineering roles. Currently serving as a Research Intern in the Changquan Calvin Sun Lab, Mason has conducted critical experiments on the mechanical properties of pharmaceutical tablets and co-authored a published paper. Previous roles include Laboratory Assistant in the Birnbaum Research Group, focusing on HPLC analysis for fentanyl and oxycodone vaccine projects, and Co-Op Process Engineer at Cargill's biodiesel production facility, where Mason honed skills in process safety and optimization. Additionally, Mason holds leadership positions in Engineers Without Borders USA, managing finances and leading a subgroup on water sourcing for international projects. Through various internships, including those at TENDER HEARTS NURSING AND MANAGEMENT SERVICES and RMB Environmental Laboratories INC, Mason has developed strong analytical and communication skills, contributing to a robust foundation in chemical engineering.
