Chance Steffey, PE, CWRE, currently serves as Associate Pastor at Bethel Baptist Church in Tillamook, OR, and holds the position of District Engineer at the Port of Tillamook Bay since February 2021. With extensive experience in engineering and community service, Chance has volunteered as a Civil/Environmental Engineer and facilitator at Engineering Ministries International since 2010, and previously operated as Principal Engineer at Steffey Engineering & Consulting, LLC from 2020 to 2022. Earlier roles include City Manager and Public Works Director for the City of Bay City, Oregon, along with a tenure as Civil/Environmental Engineer at Tye Engineering & Surveying, Inc. Chance also contributed as a committee member with Engineers Without Borders USA and led LaPine Community Clinic/Health Center as Clinic Director/CEO. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, a Master of Arts in Global Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and The Natural Sciences from the University of Wyoming and Western Oregon State College, respectively.
