Tenley A. has worked in various roles in the field of biology since 1997. Tenley began their career as an Entomology Department Research Assistant at Mycogen Corporation in 1997. Tenley then moved to Argonne National Laboratory in 1998, where they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant. After graduating from Georgetown University in 2003, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Boston Children's Hospital from 2011 to 2020. In 2020, they moved to Algen Biotechnologies, where they worked as a Senior Scientist. In 2021, they joined biomea fusion, where they have held the roles of Director of Biology and Senior Scientist II. Tenley A. is currently employed at Engine Biosciences as an Associate Director.
Tenley A. obtained a Ph.D in Biology and Developmental Biology from Georgetown University between 2003 and 2009. From 2001 to 2003, Tenley A. obtained a B.S in Biology from Marlboro College. In addition, Tenley A. has obtained certifications from edX in Statistics and R (2019) and Data Science: R Basics (2018), as well as a Mini-MBA Certificate from the Harvard Graduate Business Club (2015).
