Karissa Bell is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in technology and social media reporting. Currently a Senior Reporter at Engadget since February 2020, Karissa focuses on social media platforms, policy, and the creator economy. Prior to this role, Karissa served as a Senior Tech Reporter at Mashable from January 2014 to February 2020, where coverage included a range of tech topics, primarily emphasizing social media and internet culture as the only west coast tech reporter for over two years. Earlier experience includes contributions to Wirecutter, Wired Magazine, and Macworld, with roles ranging from product guide contributor to Assistant Editor for Wired's annual App Guide issue. Karissa holds a BA in Journalism and Modern Greek Studies from San Francisco State University.
