Matt Tett has extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity and technology. Matt started their career as the Managing Director of Enex TestLab in 2001, where they led the independent testing organization. Matt has also held various advisory and leadership roles in organizations such as AWSN, InnovationAus, IoT Security Trust Mark P/L, Security Mark Pty Ltd, Standards Australia, Communications Alliance Ltd, eMetric (T/AS Honesty Box), Communications Day, and the Office of the eSafety Commissioner. Matt has contributed to industry development, policy development, and cybersecurity initiatives through their roles in these organizations.
Matt Tett attended Braemar College from 1984 to 1989. Matt does not have a specified degree or field of study from this institution. Additionally, Matt has obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 1998, they became a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) through Microsoft. In 2003, they obtained the Certified Social Engineering Prevention Specialist (CSEPS) certification from Mitnick Security LLC. In 2004, they earned the Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) certification from ISC2. In 2005, they obtained both the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certifications from ISACA. Matt also holds several security clearances, including a Security Clearance from the Department of Defence (obtained in 2012) and a Security Contractor Clearance from Victoria Police (obtained in 2014). Matt has obtained additional certifications in first aid, private security operations, and business registration. Most recently, in 2020, they obtained a Licensed Private Security Advisor certification from Victoria Police.
