Markus F. Schmidt is an experienced executive with a robust background in utility and energy management. Currently serving as the Chief Development Officer at ENERVIE - Südwestfalen Energie und Wasser AG since 2020, Markus previously held the position of Chief Restructuring Officer at the same company from 2015 to 2019. Additional roles include Geschäftsführer at REMONDIS Energy & Services GmbH & Co. KG, Vorsitzender des Vorstandes at Stadtwerke Düsseldorf, and Kaufmännischer Vorstand at rhenag Rheinische Energie AG. Markus's career began at VEW AG as Abteilungsdirektor Konzernentwicklung, after positions at RWE Gas AG and Ruhrkohle AG.
