Edgar Cartner has served on the EnergyUnited Board of Directors since 1998 and currently serves as vice president. He was a member of the Crescent EMC board with his term beginning in 1987. Cartner also serves as director on the EnergyUnited Services Corporation Board.
Cartner is an entrepreneur and businessman, and recently retired as sales and customer service representative from PalletOne of North Carolina, Inc. He has been very active in Ruritan National since 1970, serving in various capacities including club president, zone governor, district governor, national treasurer and national president. Cartner was also on the planning and survey committee for five years and was instrumental in organizing many new Ruritan clubs. He is currently a member of V-Point Ruritan Club in the County Line Community.
Cartner is a graduate of Cool Spring High School, studied business administration at Mitchell Community College and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He is a member of Salem United Methodist Church living in the County Line Community, where he enjoys working in the yard, gardening and golfing in his spare time.
