Jay Hira is a seasoned professional in the field of cyber security, currently serving as Director of Cyber Security for Financial Services at KPMG Australia since April 2024. As Founder and Chief Information Security Officer at MakeCyberSimple since November 2021, Jay has also held significant roles including Director of the National Cyber Security Practice at MinterEllison and Director of Cyber Transformation at EY. Jay's earlier experience includes positions at Salesforce, EY, QBE Insurance, Commonwealth Bank, and Accenture. In addition to practical experience, Jay contributes to academia as a Guest Lecturer at UNSW since July 2018. Jay holds a Master's in Network Technology and IT Infrastructure from SCIT and a Bachelor's in Computer Science and Engineering from Amravati University.
