Joana Santos Vaz is a skilled professional currently serving as Manager of Regulatory Affairs for Energy Transition at EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG since September 2024. Previously, Joana worked at Smartenergy as Policy and Public Affairs Manager for Green H2 from August 2020 to September 2024, focusing on EU environmental and energy policy related to green hydrogen and representing the organization to EU stakeholders. Joana's earlier experience includes roles at the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation, Trade Promotion Europe, BNP Paribas Securities Services, and as an Assistant Lecturer at Universidade da Beira Interior. Joana holds a PhD candidacy in International Relations from the University of Lisbon and further degrees in Political Science and International Relations, as well as development economics and entrepreneurship from various institutions.
