Syamsu Alam started his professional career at Pertamina since 1989 and held variety of positions such as General Manager JOB (Joint Operating Body) Pertamina-Medco Tomori in 2007, Business Development Director in 2009, President Director Pertamina EP in 2011, Upstream Director Pertamina (Persero) in 2014, also President Commissioner at Pertamina Hulu Energi and Commissioner at Pertamina Internasional EP since 2015. He received Bachelor’s Degree in Geology Engineering and Master of Geophysical Engineering both from Institut Teknologi Bandung and earned PhD from Texas A&M University, USA.
