Matthew Lim

Senior UX Researcher at Endpoint

Matthew Lim has a diverse work experience in various roles related to product design, UX research, and software engineering. Matthew is currently working as a Product Designer at the National Conference on Citizenship (NCoC) since September 2022. Prior to this, they served as a UX Researcher at Endpoint starting in April 2022.

Before that, Matthew worked as a UX Designer at the Georgia Tech Research Institute from November 2021 to April 2022. Matthew also gained experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Technology & International Development Lab from May 2020 to December 2021, where they worked on design and full-stack application development projects for organizations like the Carter Center and New Myanmar Foundation.

Matthew has also held internships at Blend as a Product Design Intern from May 2021 to August 2021, where they led design processes and contributed to the enterprise design system. Matthew also worked at Autodesk as a Part-time Screencast Web Application Developer and Screencast Tools Intern, where they updated and added functionality to Autodesk's Screencast system.

Additionally, Matthew served as a Design Bloc Staff Member at the Georgia Tech College of Design from September 2017 to May 2020, where they trained at Stanford's Hasso Plattner Institute of Design and worked on improving makerspaces, spreading design thinking, managing design classes, and creating marketing content.

Earlier in their career, Matthew gained technical experience as a Software Engineer at Siemens, where they developed procedures and applications for IoT projects. Matthew also worked as a Student Research Intern at the Georgia Tech Research Institute, where they collaborated with high school students on a prototype for preventing heatstroke.

Furthermore, Matthew contributed to Purdue University as a Promotional Animation team member during July 2016 to August 2016. Overall, Matthew's work experience showcases their expertise in product design, UX research, software engineering, and project management.

Matthew Lim completed their education at multiple institutions. Matthew attended the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2016 to 2020 and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering. In 2018, they briefly studied at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in the field of Engineering as part of their computer engineering program. Matthew then pursued further education at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2020 to 2022, obtaining a Master of Science degree in Human Computer Interaction.
