Erasmus Elsner is an experienced professional in venture capital and growth equity, currently working at UBS since May 2020. In August 2023, Erasmus took on the role of Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) at MindsDB, and has served as an Advisory Board Member for Endeavour Vision and Pureos Bioventures since 2020. As the founder of Sand Hill Road, established in July 2016, Erasmus focuses on building, advising, and investing in Seed and Series A startups, particularly in infrastructure, cloud, open-source, devops, and ML/AI. Prior experience includes roles in various financial sectors, including private M&A practice at Bär & Karrer, and roles in venture capital, distressed M&A, and derivatives at UBS and Rothschild & Co, respectively. Academically, Erasmus holds multiple degrees including a PhD from ETH Zürich and has participated in programs at prestigious institutions such as Y Combinator and the University of California, Berkeley.
