Shana Gavron's work experience began in 2005 as an Assistant Trader at Finasta. Shana then worked as an Analyst at DNB in 2006 and as a Senior Equity Analyst at SEB from 2007 to 2008. In 2009, they joined Emerging Nordic Research as a Senior Equity Analyst and later became a Senior Equity Analyst at AS LHV Pank in 2010. In 2018, they worked as a Consultant: Research and Financial Analytics at The Merrier. In 2009, they founded and became the Director of SRInvestment OU. In 2019, Shana Gavron established Endangered Wildlife OU as CEO and Founder. Their current position is Biodiversity Director at Green Cross United Kingdom, where they have been working since 2023.

Shana Gavron's education history includes a range of degrees and certifications. In 1999 to 2002, they attended the University of Cape Town and obtained a BBusSc in Finance. In 2003 to 2004, they pursued a double degree in Management Studies (Finance) at the University of Cape Town. From 2004 to 2006, Shana pursued a MPhil in Wildlife Management at the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria. In 2007, they completed a CPD Course in Integrated Environmental Management at the University of Bath.

Shana decided to further their education and obtained a PGcert in Ancient Religions from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David from 2014 to 2016. In 2008 to 2010, they acquired a Diploma in Canine Massage from the Woofs & Hoofs School of Animal Massage. In 2012, they completed close protection training at Wilplan Training.

To enhance their knowledge in environmental management, Shana obtained a Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management from Astutis in 2020 to 2021. Lastly, they are currently pursuing an MSc in Wildlife Biology and Conservation at Edinburgh Napier University from 2019 to 2023.

In addition to their degrees, Shana has also obtained several certifications. In September 2003, they became a member of Mensa South Africa. In February 2017, they acquired a Carte Professionelle - Protection Physique des Personnes from the Commission Locale d'Agrement et de Controle Ouest. Lastly, in June 2021, they became an Associate of IEMA.
