Charles (Jingyuan) Cao, PhD, is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. Currently serving as Associate Director at Encoded Therapeutics Inc. since July 2020, Charles previously held the position of Senior Scientist at Orchard Therapeutics from September 2018 to June 2020. Prior to that, Charles was a Director and Senior Scientist at Applied StemCell, Inc. from August 2015 to September 2018. Charles began a post-doctoral research associate role at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in November 2011, which lasted until July 2015. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Neurobiology/Molecular Biology/Biochemistry from Zhejiang University and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Tianjin University.
