Chris Parker, MSN, RN, CEN, CPEN, CFRN, CNL, TCRN, NPD-BC, NRP, is in his first year as a member of the Emergency Nurses Association Board of Directors.
Inspired by nurses who took care of his dad when he was ill, Parker has worked his entire healthcare career in emergency services, starting as a prehospital provider in 1999.
He took his first ED position at Centra Health in 2002 as an ED technician and has been with the same organization ever since held several different roles including staff nurse, ED rapid response nurse, flight nurse, and professional development specialist. He currently works as a senior clinical professional development practitioner assigned to the Emergency Services line for Centra Health in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Parker has served ENA in various roles at the local, state, and national levels, including multiple terms on the Virginia ENA State Council as president and treasurer. He also spent six years as the Virginia ENA Representative to the Governor’s EMS Advisory Board. Parker continues as a TNCC and ENPC instructor and faculty.
