Michael Hess

Michael Hess has had a varied career since 2013. Michael began as an Account Executive at Campus Special in 2013, then moved to Information Systems Consultant at Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP in 2014. In 2016, they founded HTGT, and in 2017 they became the Manager, Global Creative + Content Marketing at Marriott International. In 2019, they worked as a Digital Consultant at the University of Maryland, Baltimore Graduate School, and in 2021 they became Co-Founder & CEO of Emporia Research.

Michael Hess holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Finance and Information Systems from the University of Maryland. Michael has also obtained multiple certifications, including Entrepreneurship 1: Developing the Opportunity, Entrepreneurship 2: Launching Your Start-Up, Entrepreneurship 3: Growth Strategies, Entrepreneurship 4: Financing and Profitability, Responsive Web Design, AWS Fundamentals: Going Cloud Native, Strategy & Innovation Certificate: Digital Marketing Analytics, Agile Project Management, and FAA Part 107, all obtained in 2020, with the exception of the FAA Part 107, which was obtained in 2017.
