Rikisuke Yamanaka

Rikisuke Yamanaka graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree from Keio University in 1997 and was admitted to the Dai-ni Tokyo Bar Association in 1999. He joined Ushijima & Partners in the same year. In 2006, he received an MBA degree from the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business.

Rikisuke is the partner principally in charge of labor and employment law on behalf of the firm. He was introduced as a “recommended” lawyer by clients in the Corporate and M&A practice area in the Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2017. He has handled many domestic and international labor disputes and has advised in various matters related to: employee downsizing, termination of directors and employees, workplace disciplinary actions, workplace harassment, non-competition agreements, changes to corporate compensation structure, protection of personal information, mental health, visas and immigration, government labor standards inspection, and negotiation with labor unions. He also has served as a statutory auditor for multiple companies including RESTIR Holdings Inc.

He is fluent in English and Japanese.
