Mats Nilsson is the founder of Empe Diagnostics. Mats has previously served on the board of directors for ELOS AB, Halo Genomics AB, and Q-linea AB. Mats was also a member of the board of directors for Olink Bioscience from 2004 to 2014. Mats Nilsson received their PhD from Uppsala Universitet in 1999 and did a postdoc at Leiden University Medical Center from 1999 to 2000.

Mats Nilsson has a PhD in Medical Genetics from Uppsala University. Mats also attended Skara for their schooling.
