Josh Weinstock serves as an Assistant Professor at Emory University since August 2024, focusing on statistical genetics and genomics within the Department of Human Genetics. Prior to this role, Josh has extensive experience with the Washington Nationals as a Consultant in Research and Development and previously as an Analyst in Baseball Research and Development, where player evaluation tools were developed and maintained. Josh also collaborated with leading researchers at Stanford University and Johns Hopkins University as a Postdoctoral Scholar and Research Scientist, utilizing gene networks to interpret complex traits. Earlier academic pursuits included a PhD and MS in Biostatistics from the University of Michigan, complemented by research positions and tutoring roles. Additional experience includes an internship at Microsoft and writing for sports analysis platforms.
